This unfortunately named theater dates back to at least 1927. It is now a church. There were several Wadesonian Theatres around central Alabama dating back to at least 1926. This theatre appears to have closed several years after the opening of the New Wadesonian Theatre in May 1936, (which is now a paint store) in another part of town.

Roger’s link. Peggy Wyatt, quoted in the article, says that she saw Disney’s Bambi at the old Wedesonian Theatre. As that movie was released in 1942, the old theater must have continued operating long after the New Wadesonian opened in 1936.
