The Met Theatre was opened in 1920. In the early-1940’s, the Met Theatre was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary M.A. Lightman.

In 1955 the Met Theater had 406 seats.

MALCO Theatres was the last theatre chain to operate the Met.
