Nothing is known so far on this theatre in the Florence-Graham area of South Central Los Angeles. On nearby Compton Avenue (8607 Compton) and Firestone Blvd, stood the Kinema Theatre, now gone.
The Graham Theatre once contained a 2 manual 4 rank style B Wurlitzer Opus 860 that was reposessed by the company and moved to the first Hanford Theatre, Hanford, CA. This little organ was enlarged by Louis A. Maas Company of LA and moved to the new Fox Hanford Theatre in 1930.
If anyone can supply further information on the Graham Theatre, it would be most appreciated.

Is the theater closed?
The Gentry at 6525 Compton is still standing. I will try and swing by the area to check out this theater as well. The description puts it somewhere around 86th and Compton.
The 1929 L.A. City Directory has the Graham Theatre listed at 1703 E. Firestone Boulevard, which would be at the northeast corner of Firestone and Graham Avenue. The building on the site now is a small commercial structure for which the County Assessor’s office gives a construction date of 1946, with an addition dating from 1964. The lot next door is vacant. Looks like the Graham Theatre is long gone.
