The Palace Theatre was built by the Ferber family and was located on the south side of Second Street between Lexington and Monmouth avenues. This theatre was built prior to 1920 and was also used for vaudeville.

The theatre is listed as operating in the 1951 Film Daily Yearbook but not the 1956 edition.

After closing, the Palace became the home of the American Vitamin Co. The building was destroyed by fire in 1979.

Any additional information on this theatre would be greatly appreciated.

In 1968, there was an American Vitamin Products Inc located at:

118 2nd St
Lakewood, NJ 08701

Could that be the address? Either way, you need to change the above zipcode from 08071 to 08701.

“The Palace Theatre, also built by the Ferber family, was located on the south side of Second Street between Lexington and Monmouth Avenues”. Well, Google Maps places 118 2nd St between Lexington and Monmouth Avenues. That address looks good to me.
