Originally known as the Hippodrome Theatre, it was operating prior to 1914. This neighborhood theater was known for its shiny blue exterior covered with movie posters.
It closed in the early 1960’s and was used as a church.
It reopened in the early 1970’s as the Niagara Falls Cinema. It was to be a family theater with low prices. Unfortunately this didn’t work out and the theater turned to pornography.
It closed in 2002 and in 2008 was converted into retail use.
