The Astor Theatre was a very unremarkable neighborhood movie house located in what was to become one of Cleveland’s worst areas of urban blight – the infamous Hough neighborhood, scene of horrendous rioting in the late 1960s and 70s.

A Link theater organ was installed in the Astor Theater in 1927.
