This 2003 obituary for Howard M. Huston notes that his family moved to Challis in 1977 where they owned and ran the Lyric Theater and an electronics repair shop.
This 2004 article from the Challis Messenger talks about an auto repair business that opened in 1977, when “the Lyric Theater was still standing”, which leads me to believe this theater is no more.
Somewhere in this 1968 photo is the Lyric theater in Challis. At least that is what it claims:
“View of Salmon River Electric Co-op. Also shows Challis Drug, Don’s AG, Donna’s Dry Goods and the Lyric Theatre”.
