The Winn Theatre opened in October 1930. It reopened as the 40th Street Theatre in November 1944. I couldn’t find when it closed. It was listed as seating 500.

This opened as Winn on October 5th, 1930 and reopened as 40th St. on November 11th, 1944. I have posted both grand opening ads here.

This theater was recently purchased along with the other adjoining structures on the block. Restoration is in progress to convert it into a performing arts venue.
