On March 24 1970 it had a ROADSHOW ENGAGEMENT of “FUNNY GIRL” running on its second week.
This website has an audio walking tour that mentions the Colonial Theater. According to the commentary, the Colonial opened in 1931 and was also known as the Abby or Abbey Theater, not sure of the spelling. On that site, click on “Part II” to hear the audio. The theater is mentioned about 45 seconds into it.
