The Movies 1-2-3 opened in late-1975, it became the second triplex cinema in the Chapel Hill area. Located in the NCNB Building in downtown, through the NCNB Plaza, nowadays the Bank of America Building.
Initially a first run theatre, it also showcased independent films. Martin Theatres took over during the late-1970’s when the name was changed to Ram Triple Theater. During the mid-1980’s, it was acquired by Carmike Cinemas and was closed in October 2000. The building became a nightclub, but this closed in early-2007.
