March 12, 1907, newspaper ballyhoo for the Electric Palace Theater advertised a moving picture entitled “The Girl From Montana”, plus one vaudeville act, “‘Little Baby’ White ~ song and dance”.

With the name Electric Palace it is a sure bet this theater was colorful with brilliant illumination. Further details on this movie house are not yet available.

Not absolutely possitive but I suspect in this historic picture the Electric Palace Theatre is on the ground floor of the Missouri House. That horseshoe sign is hung upside down which is very bad luck. Perhaps that is why the Electric Palace failed to succeed. Below enter “Towns – Oklahoma City – Street Scenes – Broadway"

The horseshoe sign missmelbatoast made reference to says Billiards and Pool on it, so it wasn’t a movie theater at the time that photo was taken. That isn’t to say that it couldn’t have been converted to one later, though. Most early nickelodeons were in converted storefronts.
