The Palace Theatre was situated in the Sham Shui Po district on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. It opened to business on 13rd February, 1953, and showed selected English language and first run Chinese dialect films until 1966.

The theatre also served as a venue for adult fare in the late 1950s and early 1960s. After an extensive renovation in 1966, it showed first run English language films until its closure on 29th February, 1972. A residential building was built on the site of the theatre.
