The Maxine Theater opened around 1914. It is no longer a theater, but the building still stands and is used for retail purposes.

This is a photo of the Maxine Theater building as a Rite Aid store. A Google search returns a Rent-A-Center (716) 825-9988 2228 Seneca St. Buffalo, NY.

The Maxine opened June 29,1914 with 800 seats. The architect was H. Spann. On April 15,1928 it was remodeled and reopened as the New Maxine.

The Maxine Theater had a Link theater organ. No date or other information is given.

This theater closed on April 29,1950, becoming a market, later a drug store in the 1980s,
Later a rental center.
