The Forum was open from at least 1945. The theater was located at the intersection of East Main Street (National Trails Highway) and South Second Avenue.

In 1963, the Forum was operated by the Western Amusement Company, out of Los Angeles. The president and GM was J.E. Ted Jones. Western Amusement also ran the Barlen Drive-In and and Barstow Theater in that city.
Here is an item from Boxoffice magazine in January 1946:
Jack Anderson, who manages the Forum in Barstow, has revealed that William Cox, Forum owner, has plans drawn for a new 750-seat theater to be built in Barstow early this year.
He built a new theater to replace this theater?
No, he was building a new theater somewhere else in Barstow. It may have been the Barstow Theater, which later became a twin.
Okay. I wish some of those stories would give the theater name.
