The Roxy Theater was opened in 1935. It was part of the McCarthy Circuit in the early-1960’s and closed in 1964. W.T. McCarthy was president, general manager, film buyer and booker.

Located one block west of the Cavalier Theater. McCarthy theatre service also owned the Cavalier and Hunter Theater. The Roxy was originally called the Palace Theater. Before becoming a theater it was a harness shop.
