The Grand Theatre opened for motion pictures and vaudeville in late January 1910. The theater was housed inside the former Muchitz Hall at the Muchitz House (a local hotel) owned by Martin Muchitz. Edward McCrew, the theater’s first manager, lived at the hotel.

The hotel and the theater have long since been demolished.
