A photo of the auditorium of the Avalon appeared in Boxoffice, February 11, 1939. The architect was Jack Corgan, Corgan & Moore.
A longer article about the Avalon was published in Boxoffice of October 15, 1938. There is a photo of the facade by night. The building was erected for a mere $18,500, and an additional $15,000 was spent to equip the theater.
