Bone Theater

Butler, GA

Unfavorite No one has favorited this theater yet

When commuting to Americus 25 years ago I noticed this theater off the square in Butler, Georgia. At the time, it was closed and appeared to be in a serious state of disrepair. I have not been through there in quite a while so I am not sure if theater has been demolished.

1986 photo of the Bone Theatre. Looks like the marquee is ready to cave in.

I don’t remember this theater looking this good when I used to commute through Butler.

It don’t look that good to me, the marquess looks like it is ready to cave in and it looks like a junk yard on both sides of the photo.

If memory serves me correctly, Bone was a name of a prominent family in the county. There were other businesses named Bone in Butler, Ga.
