This was the theatre that I would go to when I was growing up in the late 70s into the early 90s. It was located in the Castle Mall (which is also now demolished- it had an A & P and a K-Mart as it’s anchor stores).
As a kid, I saw “Superman: The Movie”, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, “Grease” and “Heaven Can Wait” there. It was always busy, especially for a second-run theatre. Later on, they converted it into a dollar theatre, which was great for a high school/college student on a budget.
The theatre closed in the mid-90s and then the entire mall was torn town in the mid-90s after part of the roof collapsed after a big snowfall. My sister used to work there and I have many movie posters (some quite valuable now) that she gave to me when the movie left the theatre.
