The Tazwell Theatre opened on August 25, 1939. It was closed on January 18, 1968 with Dean Martin in “Texas Across the River”.
Today a florist operates out of the building.

My Dad owned this theater in the late 60’s. He bought it when no one else wanted it. He hired a bunch of young kids to run it, and every kid in town spent a lot of Saturdays there watching cartoon marathons and Disney flicks…
