The M Street Theater opened in late-1909 and it was built, designed and operated by Crandal Mackey.

It became the Lido Theater in 1937 and closed in 1948.

Washington Post of January 7, 1940 and March 29, 1940 list the Lido.
The June 23, 1941 Washington Post has no listing for the Lido.
