Not worth posting IMHO.
I could have just said the theater was on Main, but this confirms it. I don’t think it’s a great photo either. Address should be updated.
Point taken. I’m getting tired of looking at photos that require an electron microscope to find the theater building.
OK….I am familiar with Barry….from this photo, you are on what is now Bainbridge St, looking north with the Park on your right….where is the theater in this photo?
I want to go down to Barry and see where it used to be.
If you look down (North) to the next block on the right past the light colored building with the awnings, the other theater (Star Theater) would be a few buildings just past the light colored building. It is right before the where the alley is now. It is pretty easy to spot, but the owners would not let me in to take a look when asked a couple of years ago.
I found two addresses for the Clark Theatre, Clark Theatre Main & Perry and the New Clark at 602 Main St.
Toss a coin. That usually works for me. :)
Chuck….602 Main Street maps to Main Street and Perry Street.
LM, thanks for my daily laugh, I didn’t map any of the new addresses that I added so I didn’t know. I didn’t know if the street numbers went up or down. I did find that this Clark Theatre replaces a Clark theatre in the 500 block of Main though. So there were two Clark/s and a new Clark. The Clark in the 500 block apened as the Electric Threatre and then became the Star (I believe) and then the Clark and closed when this Clark opened. Does this make sense or should I just shut up. I would agree though that the address of 602 should be added to the address in the header.
You lost me right after the second Clark. :) Okay, this Clark and the New Clark are the same theater. And the Clark Theater at 520 Main Street closed when this Clark Theater opened. There should be a law against using the same name for more than one theater in the same city.
Well I guess I didn’t make it too confusing you got it right. So if you and I know what I was saying then to heck with anyone else.
