The Gateway Theater is located at the intersection of routes 30 and 15 in historic Gettysburg, PA. The theater opened on April 21, 2006 and is managed by R/C Theatres of Reisterstown, MD.
The theater was designed and built to incorporate the latest technology into a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. All auditoriums feature large wall to wall curved screens, stadium seating with reclining rockers, Dolby Digital Surround Sound with High Performance Stereo (HPS4000) speaker systems and the two Giant Screen theaters offer DLP Digital Projection.
The Gateway Theater also is the exclusive home of "Fields of Freedom," a 30-minute film on the 1863 Battle of Gettysburg.

Excellent projection and sound. The Gateway has large curved screens and is well maintained. As of this writing, two of the 8 screens feature digital projection with 3D capability. FYI: the photo at the top of this page is in fact a photo of the Gateway’s largest auditorium. However, the same photo is incorrectly used for the Frank Theater’s Gettysburg multiplex page.
