The Adult Art Cinema is listed in Bob Damron’s Address Book, 1977 edition, as a gay porn cinema. From its location, it was three blocks to the east of the currently still open (as of 2008) Forum Theatre, a straight porn cinema built in 1975.
Any further information on the Adult Art would be appreciated

I thought this whole block of Market was redeveloped years ago. Can anyone confirm this? If so, the theater would be long gone.
It’s amazing how porn ruled Market Street and surroundind areas during the 70’s and 80’s. Adult Art, would show movie, stop in the middle for a stripper to come out to perform, resume the movie after. Five adult peepshows are left.
