I guess this theatre, in its day, would have been the main competitor for the Carlton Theatre up the street, now known as the Count Basie Theatre.

The Bijou was on Broad Street and Mechanic Street. The Majestic was never renamed and the theatre was never a competitor of the future Carlton which now is the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre.
