Palais Royal building from 1920

This theatre was located at 1710 W. Madison Street at the intersection with N. Paulina Street in the Near West Side neighborhood, just blocks from the present-day location of the United Center. The Palais Royal Theatre was opened in 1909 operated at least through to around 1928 when it was then re-named Lindy Theatre (not to be confused with the other Lindy Theatre at 3437 W. Ogden Avenue).

The Lindy Theatre was closed in 1950 and has since been demolished. Today, there is a surface parking lot on the site.
