Located in the Atrium Centre, which was built on the site of the former Radio Centre Cinema/Classic/Cannon. The Atrium Centre was built in 1991 and contained a bowling alley and nightclub. The twin screen cinemas are located on the top floor and opened as the Atrium Cinemas on 4th August 1995 with "Batman Forever" and "Free Willy 2". Each screen seats 240 patrons.

In late-1996, it linked up with Picture House Cinemas and the name was changed to King Street Picture House. In around 2007 it was taken over by the independent Scott Cinemas circuit and renamed Scott Cinemas @ The Atrium. In late-2008, screen 2 was split into two, creating a 3-screen complex with seating for 81, 106 & 199.

The Atrium was refurbished by Scott Cinemas in late 2008, this included the splitting of screen 2 to create two screens. The current seating capacities are 81, 106 and 199. The refurbishment also included the provision of an outside roof terrace seating area. The roof terrace and all screens are fully licensed. Screen 1 was setup with Dolby Digital 3D, with 2 & 3 to follow during the summer of 2011.
