The 12-screen Cineworld opened on 12th July 1996 with 2,167 seats. It was the first cinema in the Cine-UK chain. Seating capacities in the screens range from 357, down to 88.

Four more screens were added to the complex in December 2002. This space had previously been used as a bingo club, which had failed.
