DeAnza Drive-In

The Stardust Drive-In opened on May 1, 1961. In 1962, it was renamed Edison Drive-In and finally DeAnza Drive-In. The DeAnza Drive-In closed in 1985 and was later demolished. Capacity was 500 cars.

The Edison Drive-In opened as the Stardust Drive-In on Saturday, APril 15 with the movies ROOM AT THE TOP and TIGER BAY (with 2 cartoons).

Shouldn’t this theatre be listed under the name DeAnza Drive-In? That was the last name the Drive-in was called, and i thought that’s how things were listed.

thanks plinfesty.I wish i had the time to do several theatres and Drive-ins in my city.I enjoy looking at the newspaper ads so much.Some of these titles you wonder if they even exist any more.Thanks I for one enjoyed them.

The site looks like an open field to me. You can still see the ramps clearly, but it is demolished.
