Opened in 1989 with seven screens and originally with an external entrance and lobby. The East Hills expanded to ten screens in 1996 and the entrance was moved inside the mall.
The theater will be closed by Regal Cinemas on June 27, 2010, one of the few remaining tenants of the East Hills Mall in north Bakersfield.
