Photograph showing the Balcony Café above, viewed through ceiling opening of the main Restaurant below. The front tall windows flooded daylight into these two areas. The Balcony Café was open 10-30 am - 5 pm Restaurant opening times 11.30 am. - 10 pm Monday - Saturday serving Lunches, Set Teas and Evening Meals. Like all cinemas at that time these facilities were most popular for cinema patrons or general public alike. One of the very last cinema restaurant to survive was the Odeon Southampton that was very busy up to its forced closure in 1972.
