The Glenwood Theater was near Byrd High School and opened March 7, 1934, and closed its doors in 1960. After being closed for a long period it reopened as a skin flick theater. After that it became a legitimate playhouse and then closed permanently.

For many years this location has been used as an antique and collectible shop. Architectural remnants of the Glenwood Theater can still be seen inside. Corner of Line Avenue and Stephenson Street.
