Opened July 1935 by Alfred Casselman, during a boom in the town of Williamsburg caused by the medical practice of Dr. Mahlon William Locke. The town and the theatre declined following Dr. Locke’s death in 1942. Closed December 1959. Currently being used for storage.

Was Casselman the architect or the builder?

I doubt that it would be the architect if the theater was “Opened July 1935 by Alfred Casselman”. Possibly the builder or the owner.

Here is another photo of the Picadilly Theater building. And the name “Picadilly” is spelled with one “c”.
