The Carver Theater is listed as operating in the 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook and possibly opened in the late-1940’s. It was still operating as an African-American theatre in 1955.
In 2008, the building was still standing, but unused.

The Carver closed in the late-1950’s This theatre catered to an African American Audience.
Unless I’m incorrect, The Carver still stands. The correct address is 1846 Singleton Blvd. The Carver later became the Rosales Theatre. The Theatre has been closed & vacant for quite a long while. It was used as a church in its' latter days…..
