Gaiety Cinema

The Duke of York’s Picture Theatre opened in 1912 and was operated by Brixton Cinematograph Theatres Ltd. New owners N.B. Walters took over in 1919, and it was re-named Gaiety Cinema. It was closed in the mid-1920’s.

For many years the building has been in use as a furniture store and in 2009 it is a discount furniture store named Last Price Furniture.
