The Wells Theater named after it’s owner J. Nolan Wells opened around 1942. The theater was remodeled in 1950. The Wells Theater closed in 1965. The building became a plumbing supply store in 1980. In 1990 the building was converted into apartments.

This was the building in 1981. Here is a 2007 article about the Wells Theater.

As per the article in LM"S comment on 7/9/09 this theatre opened as the Kingsland Theatre and later became the Wells. Header should have an AKA Kingsland
