Louvre Cinema

0pened in 1957 on the Chaussee de Louvain along from the Place Meiser. It was quickly over taken by Mr van Vasslaere of the Cines de Saint Josse circuit, and like the Savoy Cinema, it was located in the Schaerbeek district. It was the fourth of the "cinemas de Saint Josse", after the Mirano Cinema ,Savoy Cinema and Century Cinema, and before the Marignan Cinema opened in 1959, it had two programmes a week. "Giant" was shown there in 1958 together with the Savoy Cinema and Century Cinema. “King Creole” screened here in 1960. It closed in 1965 not long after the Savoy Cinema. It is now a karaoke night club.
