The Elite Theater was operating prior to 1941. Boxoffice magazine reported in June 1949 that Joe Smith had sold the Elite Theater to G.H. Partlow. Partlow also owned theaters in Stuart and Logan at the time. Partlow announced that his son-in-law, "Lucky" Lucksinger, who had been managing the Monona Theater, would be in charge of the Elite Theater.

Wow don’t your sources for new theatres have any addresses. The Elite was located at 120 E. Main St. between S. First St. & S. Second St.
Most theaters did have addresses. To find them, you have to look for them. LOL
