The Star Theatre opened in 1922 with seating listed at 420. This theatre is not to be confused with the Star Cinemas. It was built, opened and closed long before the Star Cinemas were opened. It was located on E. Hillsboro Street at S. Washington Street.

The Star Theatre was still open in 1950. The building that the housed the theatre has been demolished. Information on this the was obtained from the Arkansas Historical Society magazine.

The Star Theatre catered to African-Americans.
