Located in Greenford, Middlesex, today a district in the west of Greater London. The Electric Theatre was opened prior to 1914. By 1932, it was known as the Playhouse Cinema. It was operated by the small independent Southern Cinemas Ltd. chain.

The Playhouse Cinema was closed on 12th September 1959 with Victor Mature in "The Big Circus" and George Montgomery in "King of the Wild Stallions". It was later demolished and the site was redeveloped.
