Located across from the Prince Charles Cinema in Lisle Street, just off Leicester Square in Chinatown, central London. The Cinema Blue was one of two Cinema Blue’s that were operating in this area in the late-1970’s/early-1980’s (the other was on Dean Street in Soho which has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
The Lisle Street Cinema Blue was previously a sauna, and was located on the ground floor of the building. It operated initially as a 16mm adult cinema, later going over to video operation.
Today, in 2008, it is in use as part of a Chinese supermarket, known as See Wong Hoo Supermarket.
