Broadway Theatre

Built in the 1920’s, a very simple neighborhood house, perhaps put together with spare lumber. Questioning someone who attended there as a child he described it as "a dump!".

The Broadway Theatre was closed in 1934 and was demolished in 1975.

The street level picture for the Broadway theater in Cincinnati,Ohio is incorrect. The Picture shows a site in Reading,Ohio. The Broadway Theater was located where Fort Washington Way is today,to find it go to Interstate 71 as it passes thru downtown Cincinnati.

Was amazed to find a report about our Broadway Th.as it was a low lying house during Ohio’s 1937 Flood. Cost estimate due to high waters was $3,000.00 Any info about this movie theater is very scarce.

Since ,“Motion Picture Herald”, of March 1937 carried a damage report for this house it must still have been operating after 1934, Which means my earlier posting needs updating.
