State Theatre

The State Theatre opened on November 25, 1935 with Virginia Bruce in “Times Square Lady”. Seating was listed at 500. When the theatre opened it was operated by J.F. White Theatres folowed by B&L. Theatres and finally Consolidated Theatres.

The State Theatre closed in 1955 and has since been demolished.

Address should be 331 S Elm St.

311 was the National Theatre.
