The Regent Theatre showed motion pictures from 1914 when it was built by the Ansonia Amusement company. It was listed in the American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915 as the Argus Theatre, which could have been its opening name.
The Regent Theatre operated until at least 1956, and perhaps later than that.
