Plaza Cinemas

Located in Croydon on the eastern extremes of Melbourne. The Croydon Cinema is located upstairs on the first floor of the small Croydon Shopping Centre arcade, and opened in 1977 as a twin screen. It was soon operated by Village Cinemas and later Hoyts. Two additional screens were added in the 1990’s

Now operated as an independent, it was re-furbished in 2005 and closed in November 2011. It was taken over by another independent operator in January 2012 and re-named Plaza Cinemas.
