The George Edwards Hall was taken on a lease by Mr. David Sutcliffe for the seven weeks comprising the main holiday period in around 1963 and he began to show films on a once nightly basis with matinees when wet, the same basis he operated at the Madryn Hall, Nefyn, Caernarfonshire. He worked mainly as a "Stringer" for the B.B.C. and would show his documentary films as a support to the one main film. All films were on 16mm and were of weekly duration.

He was very much a one man band, acting as projectionist, running the box office and also as usherette and ice cream salesman. Shows ceased around 1973 for reasons unknown and the hall went back to being as general purpose village hall.
