Located in the trendy west Sydney suburb of Leichhardt. The Norton Street Cinemas was a conversion of a former tile factory. It opened as a 4-screen cinema in July 1998. The total seating capacity was for 736. The cinema also contains a bookshop and a restaurant.
On 2nd April 2013, the Norton Street Cinemas was closed for major refurbishment and to add four extra screens which will bring the total up to eight screens, plus a brand new bar and lounge area. It is planned to re-open in October 2013.
