Norton Street Cinema

Located in the trendy west Sydney suburb of Leichhardt. The Norton Street Cinemas was a conversion of a former tile factory. It opened as a 4-screen cinema on 23rd July 1998, designed by architect Tonkin Zulaikha. The total seating capacity was for 736. The cinema also contains a bookshop and a restaurant.

On 2nd April 2013, the Norton Street Cinemas was closed for major refurbishment and to add four extra screens which brought the total up to eight screens, plus a brand new bar and lounge area. It re-opened on 22nd November 2013.

This opened on July 23rd, 1998. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.
