The Apollo Electric Theatre was opened around 1911, in a previously built hall. Soon known as the Apollo Theatre, it was taken over by new owners in 1927 and re-named Princess Cinema.
The operators of the Elite Cinema took over in 1928. It was listed as ‘Closed’ in 1937.
In 2009, the building is in use as Confucious Chinese Restaurant.
