The Westgate Twin was open by 1985 by Stewart & Everett Theatres. Seating was listed at 480. Carmike Cinemas took over operations in 1986.
The theatre is still open and being operated by Carmike Cinemas showing first run movies.

This is currently Carmike’s smallest theater in North Carolina. The next smallest Carmike Cinema in North Carolina is the Carmike Cinema 6 in Havelock.
