The Carib Theatre opened in the mid-1950’s as a single screen theater. It was owned at that time by Mr. Paul Gaunthier who also owned the Rex Theatre and the Casbar Drive-In in Quesnel.

The Carib Theatre was twinned in the mid-1980’s with seating listed at 499. It is operated by Carib Theatres which also operates the Paradise Cinemas in Williams Lake. The Carib Theatres run first-run attractions.
